He was the favorite of the eve and Martino Fruet with today's test confirms that, if there is anyone "in the group" who wants to win the debut edition of All Around eMTB Race Bosch ePowered, he will have to contend with him. In the first of the four stages of the race, which started this morning from Cogne at 9.30 with arrival at Forte di Bard, the biker from Pergine Valsugana fielded all his power uphill towards the Champorcher window at an altitude of 2.826 meters and his skill downhill towards the finish.

«Let's say that I went fast from the first rides: I found the climb quite challenging but the goal of the day was to conserve the battery of the ebike, also for the time trial of the Forte» commented the Trentino rider once he reached the finish line.

The rider of the Lapierre Trentino team Alè finished the 46 kilometers of the test in 1: 23'11 ", but once Fruet reached the finish line, as well as other competitors, they were hit by a 10-minute penalty imposed by the jury for cutting route even if accidental or due to the “satellite tracker” turned off.

In third place of the day the Camunian biker Kevin Bettineschi of Bikeside Team 17'07” behind the winner. Like Fruet, Garibbo and Bettineschi were also penalized with 10 minutes, slipping respectively to seventh and ninth place in the general classification.

The Dutch Rob Meeuwessen, journalist of the specialized magazine Fiets, and Roberto Fabbri color bearer of the Gito Squadra Corse climbed on the two steps of the podium of this first day of the All Around eMTB Race Bosch ePowered. The day also saw a special stage called “The strongest of the Fort” which involved all the participants in the time trial of the challenging switchbacks of the Bard bastion strategically placed at the beginning of the Aosta Valley. The ranking of the "sprint" on the 700-meter climb on the splendid monumental complex of the early nineteenth century, saw the two strongest bikers in the race still occupy the first two positions but with reversed parts: Garibbo the check in 2'09 "beating for a only according to Martino Fruet.

At the end of the two competitions, all the participants were transported with their e-mountain bikes to Gressoney La Trinitè, headquarters of the All Around Camp, headquarters for refreshments, the stage awards and the briefing for the next day's stage. . In fact, tomorrow the start is scheduled from the Gressoney Camp with transit in Val D'Ayas and arrival in Anteney Saint-André after 57 kilometers and a positive difference in height of 2.416 meters. Unlike today, Martino Fruet and all members will have a mandatory stop halfway through to recharge the battery of their e-mountain bike and refresh themselves. The “pilots” (as they like to be called) will cross the Ru Courtod, the medieval aqueduct created to irrigate the Val d'Ayas and the town of Saint-Vincent. For this section the front pillar will be mandatory to overcome the 14 hand-dug tunnels present in the last section. The most awaited, of course, is Martino Fruet who wears the colors of the leader.
