On a snowy path in the middle of the forest, with Indian tents and drums as a side dish, today at the Mahikan Race, Miguel Martinez (put on a show by running a perfect race, 7 laps of a course of 3,2km for a total of 22,4 km in 59 ′: 09 ″. A tough race made even heavier by a cold temperature! Martinez seemed to fly over the course, he got the first place with a lap to spare on almost the whole group, except Christian Gauvin (team Rocki Mountain) who, despite being ill, gained a second place (0:59:09) and Giovanni Gatti (team Santa Marinella) who managed to finish on the podium, brilliantly earning a third place. The first place was rewarded with a frame made by FRM , on the second a five-day trip to Alassio, to participate in the third stage of the Mahikan Race, on the third a Rotor and a pair of glasses offered by Limar.
Among women: only podium for Anne Julie Tremblay who comes out with her head held high in an almost completely male race, with a time of 1:29:55. We remind you that the video Magazine of this first stage will be on Bike Channel on March 13th at 22,00pm. The Mahikan Race thus closes the first Canadian stage and gives you an appointment on 28/29 March 2015 in Bardonecchia.
