Marcus Aurelius Fontana he went back to racing and, as usual, he did it "in style". The Prorider of Scuderia Fontana last weekend took part in theE-tour of Mont Blanc, a grueling three-day race in pairs with a very tough route (+15.000 m of altitude difference in 300 km) between Italy, Switzerland and France. Together with the Frenchman Kenny Muller for Bosch E-Bikes he took home an excellent third place in the final classification as well as two second places in the first and final stages.
"The E-tour du Mont Blanc is thewildest event of the year, indeed ever. It is a crazy ride around Mont Blanc, passing through Verbier, Courmayeur and Chamonix. It is a particular race that takes place in pairs, mainly for safety reasons, being quite extreme. With my partner this year we went strong uphill and proved competitive downhill, halfway through the race we were in the running for victory, but in the garage I had a small problem with the battery in one gearbox and we finished third. It was a fantastic experience and I'm really happy to be back in racing. Despite the problems this year we managed to achieve something very interesting. The development of electric bikes and their engines continues, the Ebike World Tour at the gates will allow us to bring out the best of these vehicles "comments Marco, who will take part in the first test of the Enduro World Series (EWS), from this year also open to the electric category.
