The Organizing Committee of this now classic Mega de la Reunion will this year enter the 'Coupe de France de Descente Marathon' organized by the French Cycling Federation.
The Megavalanche spirit remains in the opening of this international race to professionals and amateurs, with the program including the official testing day on Friday: recognition of the Enduro Special Qualifying and the Megavalanche from Maïdo to La Perrière, qualifying on Saturday on a marked enduro route by individual timed sectors to place everyone in their own level group for the Sunday Race: the best 100 qualified for the Megavalanche Internationale, whose ranking gives rise to the assignment of points for the CDF Downhill Marathon Final, next 100 in the Mega Challengers, next in the Mega Amateurs.

Double winner 2022 and 2023 of the General Mass Start Series, Axel VERNHET, currently 4th in the General Coupe de France, will try to win ahead of Robin PEREZ, 3rd and who precedes him by just 13 points!
The competition will be tough for the top places, with Antoine MACAGNO, Vincent FLAGEL, Baptiste GAILLOT and Rémy DURAND also all in the Top 10 of the Overall ranking! But there will also be Hugo PIGEON, winner in 2022 and Rémy ABSALON, holder of the record for victories on the Megavalanche, who will compete for the stage victory.

The former Olympic champion Julien ABSALON will dust off his enduro bike to come and compete against all these young athletes in Reunion! Among the women, Claire CHABBERT, French Enduro champion, and Cécile DELAIRE, third at the Mega de l'Alpe 2022, I'm among the favourites.
As for e-bikes, we expect a duel at the top between Maxime DANDA and Thomas GUIBA L, current 2nd and 3rd in the General Coupe de France, and also Luca FRIGOUT!
