The 2017 Superenduro season, now upon us with the first stage of Cingolani Rokketta Legend Superenduro in Gualdo Tadino at -20 days from the start, is characterized by many innovations including some close partnerships with important companies in the bike sector such as the BikeUP exhibition event and Gravity School.
These are key elements that expand the event platform with additional services for riders, spectators and territories.
But the surprises are not over yet and the Superenduro is today pleased to announce the entry into its staff of Manuel Ducci, a new figure of Technical Manager who will certainly contribute to a further great step forward for the Circuit.
Manuel certainly doesn't need too many introductions. He is a valuable athlete, a team manager who together with his partner Valentina has been able to grow a reality like LifeCycle. He boasts a very high level of experience in national and international competitions and, last but not least, for some time he has also been involved in developing territorial projects that see the bike as the engine of tourism and economy. He is a decidedly eclectic figure with extensive expertise in the bike sector but above all an undoubted sporting sensitivity. "The bicycle has always played a fundamental role in my life and I can say that I have practiced it in all known forms but it is in the enduro that I discovered my true nature, and this discovery I was able to make thanks to the Superenduro, so I owe a lot to this circuit that I have always felt a bit mine too and if today I am what I am I owe it partly to it too so for me it is an honor and a privilege to be part of this family”Declares Manuel.
On the other hand, the enduro mountain bike discipline has evolved a lot over the years and especially in Italy it is very articulated with Regional Circuits, an Italian Federal Championship, a National Reference circuit and one or more EWS stages per year. With the discipline and the number of events, the organizational level of the events, the competitive spirit among the riders and at the same time the demand from competitors for quality and safety at the races has also grown.
The latter are certainly aspects to which Superenduro has always paid a lot of attention, but the need to better distribute the enormous organizational workload behind a season and the desire to give the best to each event so that all the stages are an experience to remember, they were decisive elements in the search first and then in the introduction of a qualified and trusted figure like that of Manuel.
But what will Manuel deal with specifically and how does this involve the bikers who will be present at the races?
Already from the first inspections in Gualdo Tadino Manuel was present, he spoke with the trail builders, filmed on the specials with a critical eye, evaluated variants and modifications to the route both in terms of safety and driving pleasure. In this regard, here is one of his comments on Gualdo Tadino: “I am happy that the Superenduro circuit starts this new season in a location never visited before like that of Gualdo Tadino which has a lot to offer both in terms of riding than of hospitality, not to mention the beauty of the places. I never expected it but there are a couple of long special stages that cross different environments and this is reflected in the surface and the type of riding to be adopted".
In addition to the pre-event support, Manuel will intervene in the evaluation and selection of the candidacies of all the new locations and will be the person who in the days preceding the races will support the local organization during the final taping. He is a racer and certainly knows all the aspects and dynamics of the race well to guarantee greater safety and fairness in the competition.
His role is also to be close to all the riders, a sort of bridge between the organization and the participants of whatever level they are, an interlocutor who speaks in "biker language" but at the same time knows and understands all aspects organizational.
Manuel: “I am very excited to be able to play this role but I also know, as an athlete, what is expected of those who hold this position which includes an important responsibility, so I will always give 100% to live up to it. I hope and believe that the experience gained over the years of high-level competitions and various projects related to this world can help to better understand the needs of both parties, rider and circuit, in order to give you an even more exciting racing experience " !
But it does not end there, Manuel will also give a big hand in terms of communication.
Writing to ppgad@pucrs.br you will be able to ask an expert such as him specific questions, mechanical techniques, driving and anything else that comes to mind about all the athletes and their vehicles. Manuel will pass on your curiosities directly to the riders on the race fields and through live videos and other updates on the FB page he will talk about the event to those who follow the race from home.
Get ready for an even more interactive and engaging 2017 season, 5 appointments in crazy locations, with the best trails, an increasingly lively paddock area and not only sporting possibilities for accompanying persons.
In a nutshell, if you have not already done so, sign up for the first stage of the season in Gualdo Tadino and do not miss for any reason the opportunity to start together a new exciting adventure of the Superenduro National Circuit.
