"Long last! - was Luca's first comment after the finish - finally a podium and finally a bit of luck also on my side ”. Yes, because in addition to being exciting, Luca Braidot's race was really full of twists and turns in front of him from the first to the last meter. But let's go in order.
We are in Snowshoe, West Virginia – USA, for the last round of the UCI World Cup and today our boys and girls gave it their all to close out this cup by leaving their mark.

Emotions. Adrenaline. Twists. Everything happened in the men's race but the thing that interests us most is the historic 5th place conquered by Luca Braidot who brings the Santa Cruz FSA team and a Santa Cruz bicycle to a World Cup podium for the first time: "I'm excited and happy to have finally given a smile to the team, our sponsors and fans - says Luca - but it was not a walk at all. On the last lap I got in front in order to have an advantage over possible attacks but on the technical descent I suffered cramps and had to let go. But when the coveted 5th place seemed to have vanished, luck remembered me - this time - and thanks to Avancini's puncture I was finally able to get on that podium that we have been chasing so much this year ”.
The team will now be involved in a French trip to the HC international test in Marseille scheduled for October 2-3 before closing the competitive curtain with the participation the following weekend at the Roc d'Azur.
