Luke Braidot broke his fast at the Internazionali d'Italia Series by winning the men's Open race with a show of strength. The athlete from Team Santa Cruz, who had not won a race on the most important Italian Cross Country circuit since 2012, dominated from the first to the last lap, preceding the Italian Champion at the finish line Nadir Colledani (MMR Factory Team). Third place for Simone Avondetto (Wilier-Pirelli).

Braidot went on the attack in the first round, immediately accumulating a reassuring advantage over the competition. Behind him Avondetto tried to resist, but the Piedmontese was never able to worry the action of the tread.

During the sixth lap, Avondetto's run was interrupted by a crash without particular consequences. While managing to save the top-3 from the attack of the Swiss Andri Frischknecht (Scott-Sram), the native of Moncalieri was overtaken by Colledani and had to settle for third place.

No problem for Braidot who crossed the finish line with a 43 "advantage over Colledani and 1'02" over Avondetto.

“I got off to a strong start, but Avondetto didn't lose much. Then he made a small mistake and I was able to keep the situation under control. The Internazionali d'Italia Series jersey now becomes a goal: I want to bring it home ", a smiling Luca Braidot declared.

The Friulians Braidot and Colledani are now paired in the General Ranking with 140 points ahead of the leader of the U23 ranking Philip Fontana (130).

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
