The island of Elba will welcome MTB and trail enthusiasts next 26/27 October in the evocative setting of Mount Calamita, which with its more than 100 km of trails crossing spectacular landscapes and still intact beaches has made the Municipality of Capoliveri one of the most sought after tourist destinations.
The tradition of fat wheels has very deep roots in Elba, in fact the local paths have been linked to the world of MTB since 1994 when Capoliveri was the scene of the Mountain Bike World Cup up to the more recent experience of the Capoliveri Legend Cup, the now a traditional stage of the Lacona e-Enduro Series (now in its fifth edition), but also at the classic Enduro races of the TES.
The physical conformation of the island combined with the presence of a very dense historical path network and numerous forest roads has practically facilitated the development of a sector such as that of two wheels, giving the possibility of being experienced at all levels, in all seasons of the year. year and practically 360°.
The possibility of choosing routes and landscapes for all needs, combined with the proximity of the sea with more than 200 beaches, many of which can only be reached via paths, makes this destination special for two-wheel enthusiasts.
The detailed program of the event will be published in the coming weeks but we can already tell you that the two days of conferences and presentations by the speakers will be alternated with mountain bike activities on the fabulous paths of the Island of Elba between wild nature and the unique and fascinating mining area with its unique colors and breathtaking views of the turquoise sea.
