BORGIO VEREZZI TRAILS AREA: Borgio Verezzi is the first stage of the LiguriabikeXperience project.
Discover the many corners of the Ligurian Riviera thanks to the new Liguria Residence project: LiguriaBikeXperience. An expert MTB biker crosses, in eight stages, the tourist resorts of the Riviera where the structures of the consortium are present, passing through the various trials.
Everything is documented with videos and articles, published from time to time on the Residence di Liguria blog and social channels. The first stop in Borgio Verezzi was chosen for its proximity to Finale Ligure, a famous destination in Italy for MTB lovers and because the trails of the Verrezzo hill for three years were included in the special stages of the important Enduro World Series race. .
TOUR DATA
It is a circular route, consisting of three paths. It develops from the center of Borgio Verezzi, runs on the plateau of the town, from where all the trails start and ends on the seafront. It has some uphill sections, which wind on asphalted roads and have an average gradient of less than 9 percent. From each track you can enjoy an excellent sea view.
TOTAL LENGTH: 20 km
DIFFERENCE IN ALTITUDE: 900 mt
DURATION: 2 hours and 30 mins (approximately)
THE PATH
The Enduro Tour starts early in the morning of a sunny day. Cross the town center and take the panoramic climb that leads to Verezzi (about 5 kilometers away). In just under half an hour you arrive in Bastia, from where the Bondi Trail starts, which crosses the Verezzi plateau.
At the end of the first path, we start again from the first bend of the Verezzi climb. You cycle for 25 minutes, until you reach the church of San Martino.
It is a great place to stop, have a coffee and admire the view overlooking the sea.
Now go down towards the Verezzi wood to reach the next stage, the start of the X-Men, the second trail. It descends along the Finale side of the hill until it reaches Finale Ligure itself.
At the end of this part you stay on the Napoleonic road which, despite being a dirt road, still allows you to pedal well.
In 30 minutes you arrive at the church of San Martino, from which the last path starts, the "Nature" Trail. The latter descends steeply towards Borgio, first passing on a mule track and then on a trail, crossing the historic center of Verezzi.
It ends in front of the Pump Track, in the center of the village. Of course we do a few laps, until it gets dark.
