Among the women, Ramona Forchini (Switzerland) is the 2020 world champion. See the replay of the race above. Location? Sakarya District, Turkey.

The rainbow jerseys were decided on a very easy path, bordering on gravel, from a technical point of view even if the difference in height and hardness was present. Victory of the Colombian Leonardo Paez which surprises, given the very fast path. Silver to Portugal with Tiago Ferreira (already world champion in the past) and bronze to Martin Stosek (Czech Republic), fresh winner at the Capoliveri Legend on the Island of Elba.
NATIONAL AZZURRA
The blues lined up by Mirko Celestino were 6: Porro, Ragnoli, Rabensteiner, Longo, Chiarini and Billi. No Italians present.
The route was a 29,1 kilometer loop that had to be repeated 3 times by the men and two by the women. Total distance of 110km, while women 81km.

The men's race started at 12:00 local time, 10:00 in Italy while the women started after half an hour. Bad luck for Samuele Porro (bronze last year in Grachen) immediately forced to retire from a puncture far from the pit area and, in such a fast course, it was impossible to look for a comeback.
During the second round a first selection began and those who then played the world championship remained in front: the blue Ragnoli, the Portuguese Ferreira, the Colombian Paez and the two Czechs Hynek and Stosek.
In the meantime, the women went to finish the race (one lap less than the men's category): arrival in the sprint between the 26-year-old Swiss Ramona Forchini and the 36-year-old Polish woman Maja Wloszczovska, with the most cunning and fastest 26 year old to cross the finish line first. Bronze medal Arianne Luthi (+1 ′ 22 ").
