The Coupe de France in Marseille Luminy is the first appointment of the year when it comes to mountain biking in France.
The weekend get-together for mountain bikers started with the XCE events. Reigning French champions Noémie Garnier (Massi) and Titouan Perrin Ganier (Velcan MTB Pro Team) won at the Luminy circuit.
Great comparison also on the Junior Series Men, the Norwegian Martin Farstadvoll won in front of Paul Magnier (Véloroc-Lapierre) and the Italian Marco Betteo, very lively at this start of the season.
In the women's elite race, Loana Lecomte (Canyon Collective), winner of the 2021 World Cup, successfully returned to competitions, she won this round with a nice advantage over her opponents: 3 minutes and 33 seconds. Fantastic tests from the Italians: in 2nd and 3rd place we find Martina Berta and Greta Seiwald.
Among the men, Titouan Carod (BMC MTB Racing) won with more than a minute over Jordan Sarrou (Specialized Factory Racing). Luca Braidot's excellent 5th place should be noted.
