Leatt presents the new NATURAL collection for MTB

Leatt has announced the launch of the brand new Leatt NATURAL clothing range, which involves the replacement of all plastic packaging with biodegradable and eco-sustainable packaging on all motorcycle and MTB products.

More than 16 years after the creation of the Neck-Brace, Leatt, the South African brand known for its problem solving and innovation skills, is making strides to help achieve the “#SaveOurPlanet” goal.

For years, scientists and ecologists have been warning us about the effects of climate change and industrial pollution. Although the change cannot happen overnight, 2022 marks another important milestone for Leatt, which introduces biodegradable, plastic-free packaging with inks extracted from soy across its entire range of Moto and MTB 2022 products. . In addition to packaging, the brand new Leatt NATURAL range is released, with the brand's first products made from sustainable sources.

The new challenge: LEATT NATURAL range

The new Leatt NATURAL products are just the beginning of what will be a completely new journey and approach. Leatt NATURAL clothing is made with Eco-Friendly and more durable fabrics, so the garments can be used for longer periods and will require less washing, thanks to the anti-odor and moisture-wicking properties.

In the manufacturing phase, these products require up to 20 times less water use than cotton or polyester. In the final phase, the garments are then placed in plastic-free packaging and delivered through a single aggregate shipment: from the production source to the store in a responsible way.

A complete range of products that environmentally conscious consumers will be able to purchase, knowing that they are of responsible origin, production and packaging.

High performance clothing

In the Leatt NATURAL range, consumers will discover two new materials, the first of which is TENCEL. Produced from excess tree cellulose, TENCEL is a high-performance material that offers great comfort and unparalleled temperature control.

The TENCEL is very soft on the skin and offers a supreme fit. The second material is YARN yarn. This yarn is made from recycled coffee grounds. Yup! Coffee grounds! YARN jerseys come in two options: WarmYarn, a quick-drying, odor-controlled fabric that will keep you warm on colder rides. IceYarn, on the other hand, is a breathable and cool-to-the-touch fabric that offers low-speed temperature control and manages ventilation thanks to inserts obtained with laser cutting.

The endless challenge

Change has to start with something, and Leatt is fully aware that it has a long way to go as it continues to adopt new technologies and change the way products are developed, manufactured and delivered.

In fact, this challenge will be continuous and the goals that the brand sets itself as a goal are in constant evolution and progress; finding new solutions is in Leatt's DNA, which will continue to research and improve its products to have less environmental impact.

The effort of one company will not be enough. Let's all join in this challenge!
