The rumors are launched by the Spanish portal esmtb. com, where they write that Lapierre is ready to return to the World Cup circus with a strong XCO team. Could a boost be brought by the upcoming “at home” Olympics in Paris in 2024?
With the arrival of Warner Bros. Discovery as media manager of the MTB World Cup, many brands do not want to miss the train while others, inexorably, will not be able to cope with costs. Only the strongest, and most daring, will remain in the circus. Lapierre is one of them: in the last period it has also completely renewed its entire XC range with the arrival of Lapierre Prorace CF and the XR and XRM.
Lapierre International team
In the past Lapierre had a very respectable team in XC with the very young (but already winning) Pauline Ferrand-Prevot or Jordan Sarrou (and we also add Loic Bruni in DH). Among their ranks also Jean Christoph Peraud and Alexis Vouillermoz, then moved on to the road.
DH doesn't seem to be a current priority of the brand but never say never. We await more in-depth news on the complete roster.
