As part of his preparation for the PARIS 2024 Olympic Games, Sebastian Fini, rider of the LAPIERRE MAVIC UNITY team, will race the Cape Epic in the cup with Nino Schurter.
“Our objectives are clear, to have fun, race as hard as possible and have luck on our side to conquer one or two more stages during the 8 days” says Fini. “I'm really excited to start the Cape epic this year, and even more so with Nino. I'm sure we are a great team. I'm looking forward to racing hard, racing smart and achieving our goals for the race. I'm sure that the race can make me stronger and I want to use it for this too. This season is important with many races and also the Olympics as a goal, so it is essential to keep this in mind too” confirms l'Unità member Lapierre Mavic.
In addition to the sporting dimension, which will see the runners face new challenges during the 8 stages,
the duo will ride for the World Bicycle Relief Foundation, which promotes travel and mobility between
communities, particularly in Africa.
