The Austrian brand best known for motorcycles strongly believes in the bicycle sector, we deduce it from the huge stand set up in Friedrichschafen and from the multitude of products on display, many bicycles of course but also clothing, helmets, shoes, spare parts and accessories.
We want to focus on two mountain bikes in particular, the enduro Lycan LT and the Macina Kapoho e-bike.
The Lycan LT has 27.5 wheels, 155mm travel at the rear (the connecting rod actually says 160mm) and 160 at the front, aluminum frame and 4-linkage system, is offered in five versions starting from 2.799 euros. The top version (LT 271 11, pictured) mounted Sram XX1 with Fox 36 Talas Kashima Fit4 fork and Shimano XTR M9020 brakes promises a weight of only 12,9 kg at the price of 5.299 euros.
The Macina Kapoho is a 27.5 Plus size e-bike (a very good combination, in our opinion) with 130 travel at the front and 125 at the rear. Ktm engineers say that the new SLL (Straight Line Link) rear suspension system combined with the Boost 148 is the best there is to increase grip and traction. Electric propulsion is entrusted to the Bosch CX system.
The Macina Kapoho is offered in the Sram X1 set-up (weight 20,9 kg) with Fox Float 130 27.5 Plus fork and 110 boost hub at a price of 4.899 euros or in Shimano XT set-up (weight 21,4 kg) with RS Yari 130 RC fork. 15 × 110 at the price of 4.299 euros.
