The Departure of Philip Columbus did not deter BMC who replaced him with Jordan Sarrou, capable of win the XC world championship in 2020 with a BMC jersey.
The BMC Team changes profoundly on a structural level and is preparing for a 2023 season at the TOP. Completely new structure because BMC leaves behind the organization by the Absolute Absalon company, led by Julian Absalon. Now Team BMC is a 100% Factory team. However, it seems that the Frenchman remains tied to the BMC brand: just a change of priorities.
BMC FOURSTROKE
The bike that will be used by the Team athletes will be a BMC Fourstroke 01, model cross country full suspension in 29″ with 100mm of travel. AutoDrop technology is present in the telescopic handle, which means that the saddle is now lowered without necessarily putting pressure on the body. Öhlins also arrives as a sponsor brand for the suspension with the new Öhlins RXF34 m.2 fork.
Close, as technical partners, Pirelli, SRAM, ABUS and ASSOS are other pillars of the team
STAFF 2023
Few athletes but good: as leaders, Titouan Carod and Jordan Sarrou stand out, where XC veterans who can compete for important victories in the Cup. Then there are 3 bets: one for women and 2 for men.
On the female side we find Steffi Häberlin, not very young (25 years old) but with room for improvement and stable placements in the top20. Juri Zanotti confirmed in the men's field: Juri is one of our best talents, already silver at the U23 World Cup in 2021 in Val di Sole. The team is completed by Janis Baumann, a young U23 coming from the Wilier Pirelli Team: 3rd at the XCO U23 European Championships last year.

Where we find radical changes is in team management, as we said at the beginning of the article. The team will be led by a duo with a professional road background, namely Amaël Moinard and Alexandre Moos.
