Rain of calls in the XCO race Snowshoe held last Sunday, perhaps because of the rainy weather. Jolanda Neff was fined for delaying the podium ceremony and for not wearing official team clothing. Neff finished 5th after a few tough weeks but she showed up on the podium dressed in a black jacket instead of the team's official competition clothing.
Maybe she didn't know she was fifth, maybe she wanted to make a silent protest or she was just cold.
DO NOT GO BEYOND THE LINE
Too many riders beyond the starting line in the American stage of Snowshoe. The UCI has communicated the list of riders warned for having started beyond the line in the World Cup, also in Snowshoe. A sanction perhaps a little too severe but being a warning, it is equivalent to calling the order for the next tests. A note of merit for Alan Hatherly, Sebastian Fini and Vlad Dascalu, the only competitors in the front row not to be warned in the men's race: true gentlemen.
