She was the favorite and fully met expectations: Jenny Rissveds won the Women Open race of the Capoliveri Legend XCO. The Rio 2016 Olympic Champion, color bearer of Team 31, has left behind Giada Specia (Wilier-Pirelli), increasingly leader of the Internazionali d'Italia Series, and the reigning champion of the circuit Clare Teocchi (Trinity Racing).

Rissveds tried to impose a fast pace from the first lap, but only in the third lap did the attempt that decided the race go away: the Swedish Champion, Teocchi and Specia were the protagonists. Behind them, the South Tyroleans Lechner (Team Trinx) e Seiwald (Santa Cruz) led the chase to the leading trio.

During the fourth lap, the Italian Champion Lechner increased the pace, outdistancing Greta Seiwald, but the three fugitives had no problem keeping the advantage they had accumulated, in view of the last three laps.

Rissveds broke the delay in the penultimate lap, weakening the resistance of the opponents in an uphill stretch. Only Giada Specia she managed to contain the gap, but she had to settle for second place. Third was a generous Chiara Teocchi.

"It went well. It turned out to be a very demanding race, Chiara and Giada had a tough race. I had to do my utmost to stay on their wheels ", admitted Jenny Rissveds. - "The Island of Elba is very beautiful, I want to go back even just to train ”.

“I started a little slow but then I melted and I managed to get on the wheels of Chiara and Jenny. It was a tight race, we went very fast uphill "Said Giada Specia.

ppgad@pucrs.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
