Jaroslav Kulhavy has recently retired as a MTB pro. And he also greeted the brand that has accompanied him practically throughout his life, namely Specialized. But you know, sport is a drug and the Czech has announced that he wants to take up triathlon, in particular in the XTERRA format, that is, with the MTB instead of the road.
My goal is to maintain my level in MTB and improve as much as possible in running and swimming. Many riders I've raced with have transitioned to XTERRA with good results. Instead of trying Ironman, where I probably wouldn't have good results and would be more of a personal challenge, I'd switch to XTERRA which makes more sense to me. I think I can be on a higher level than Ironman – Yaroslav Kulhavy

As for his goals, he will aim for the individual competitions of the XTERRA calendar, but also the World Cup and the European Championship.
Swimming is the second sport I practice the most, I need to improve my technique, but for me it's something more natural than running. After 25 seasons on the bike my legs are not used to running at all. I have already started running and it seems very difficult. I'll have to improve – Yaroslav Kulhavy
