These are just some of the many numbers of the fifth edition of Italian Bike Festival, all to tell an event destined to consecrate itself as the reference point of the European bicycle market, and beyond.
The structure of the Misano World Circuit has made IBF an event capable of combining product presentation, bike tests and entertainment, all in the name of a single great passion: that for the world of bicycles.
And now preparations are underway for the sixth edition of IBF: appointment from 15 to 17 September 2023 at the Misano World Circuit.
The fifth edition of the Italian Bike Festival hosted in the Misano circuit, organized thanks to the support of APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna and Visit Romagna, ended in great style, consecrating the event as the zenith of the bike sector and sectors connected to mobility. After a few days from the expo, the time has come to take stock of what has emerged in these three days, which saw the new location of the Misano World Circuit filled with passion and fun.
The numbers of IBF 2022 are mind-boggling: just Friday 9 September, the day of the inauguration, more than 10.000 people were registered, including visitors and operators in the sector to whom the morning opening was reserved. Naturally, the boom in turnout came between Saturday and Sunday, totaling over 42.000 visitors in the three days of the expo.
IBF 2022 is confirmed as a reference point for sector operators, to whom the preview opening of the festival was dedicated on Friday morning. Italian Bike Festival, born in 2018 as a consumer event, today officially becomes an unmissable event also for the B2B world, with 17% of visitors linked to the business and retail world.
Particularly significant is the origin of Italian visitors from outside the region equal to 60% of the total, a value that on the one hand indicates the high interest in IBF and on the other highlights an impact on the territory in terms of hotel hospitality and catering.
One datum among all deserves a special mention: women were the protagonists of IBF 2022, constituting with their participation over 26% of those present and dispelling once and for all the stereotype that would see the man the protagonist of two-wheeled sports.
The final balance of the expo area hosted inside the iconic Misano World Circuit is more than positive with the presence of 500 international brands exhibited by over 300 companies. The opportunity to ride the iconic track on the bikes of their dreams was particularly appreciated: with over a thousand bikes available for testing, 12.000 tests were conducted between road and off road.
Satisfaction also on the side of the numbers linked to the promotion and notoriety of IBF: 400 specialized communicators belonging to traditional and new media visited the fair during the three days. A "trained" group of 60 international journalists and bloggers participated in the EMCC initiative (the first edition of the European contest involving protagonists of sports communication linked to the bike world) within the La Gialla GF Road competition for the special ranking reserved for them.
Once the 2022 edition has gone down in history, thoughts turn to the sixth IBF appointment already scheduled from 15 to 17 September 2023 at the Misano World Circuit for a three-day event that will continue to amaze all bicycle enthusiasts.
