Internazionali d'Italia and Shimano: a documentary to tell the Partnership

Internazionali d'Italia Series and Shimano confirm partnership for 2025 season,
consolidating a multi-year collaboration. To celebrate this important bond,
presented a unique and exclusive documentary: “IIS – Story of an adventure”. The first documentary
dedicated to the most prestigious Italian XCO circuit tells the story of the enthusiasm and dedication that have
guided its growth, through the direct testimonies of those who contributed to making it unique.

“We knew from the beginning that it was important to be present in the movement” explains Marco Cittadini,
PR, Communication and Sport Marketing Ocer di Shimano Italia. “Michele and Luca's vision is
always been clear, they never spared themselves and their commitment was always complete. We are
particularly excited to be able to continue this adventure together”
“The renewed trust and support of an international brand like Shimano, represent
an important boost for us. Having a partner of this level at our side can only strengthen
our motivation in carrying forward this project with passion” explains Luca Carton, CM
Outdoor.

It was Shimano, a global leader in the components sector, that has always been at the side of
of the event, to strongly want this project that underlines how important it is to count on
solid partners that allow us to draw new lines and think about the future. “It was nice and
exciting to collaborate on this documentary,” continued Cittadini. “It is a piece of history to
deliver to the future and it brought back so many memories. Shimano is not just a partner
technical, we always want to go further, to establish relationships that become increasingly solid with the
passing of time and Internazionali d'Italia is an example of this philosophy. Seasons change but
we would like to continue to be a point of reference for fans of the cross country, a discipline
which encompasses a bit of all the souls of mountain biking.”

Eight years have passed since the passing of the baton between the Italian Federation and CM Outdoor, a
a succession of experiments that are recounted in seven chapters, along the path of a
narrative in which we can grasp the desire to always go further, to explore new channels of communication
and increasingly shorten the gap between athletes and the public. “Our inspiration comes from the atmosphere that
the public knows how to create during international competitions” confirms Michele Mondini. “We worked
a lot to give unity to the circuit, to give it value, as well as making it become a symbol.
Collaborating with Shimano on the making of this documentary has confirmed once again
how fundamental it was for us to try to create a relationship with such an important brand.
It was the only way to bring the sport in front of the general public, to recreate that environment
so exciting that it made us fall in love with the cross-countryWe immediately found ourselves in line with the
respective missions and this has led to an important overall evolution, it has given us the freedom
to play our cards best.”

With a duration of approximately thirty minutes, the reportage retraces the fundamental stages of the Internazionali d'Italia Series, tracing an emotional timeline that celebrates the cross country as the beating heart of MTB. Sensations, anecdotes and engaging stories intertwine to explain how this event has become an authentic point of reference in the panorama of Italian races. A journey that goes beyond competitions, to immerse yourself in the essence of a discipline and in the bond that unites athletes, organizers and enthusiasts.

Aimed at enthusiasts but also at those who want to approach this world with curiosity, “IIS – Story of an adventure” is a project that encompasses the emotions and memories of the circuit, told by the protagonists. Like a look behind the scenes of a theater, it allows spectators to listen to the actors themselves talking about their show, painting an authentic picture of the plot that characterizes the organization of such a complex and yet extraordinary machine.
