Who we are? Normal people doing crazy things? Or crazy, forced to behave in a normal way when we are not riding our bikes? I, who started pedaling with an enduro bike for just over a year, have not yet understood The Enduro Cup Lombardia race in Petosino was a very special event for me, it was the first of the team to we founded, Fondocorsa ASD, and it was very exciting to take part in it wearing our jersey.

The large turnout of participants made the event really interesting, also attracting many pro riders, a confirmation that the ECL championship is becoming a new point of reference within the Italian enduro panorama. The three stages were really beautiful, well traced, with the most insidious obstacles well marked and all different from each other. From the battered of the PS1, to a technical-pedaled mix of the PS2, to conclude with the fun flow of the PS3. They have been an excellent test bed to understand which aspect to work on to try to improve. One above all is the resistance in the pedaled sections, which, almost immediately lost, forced me to enjoy the surrounding landscape rather than push on the pedals.

During the PS3 I then had the pleasure of identifying myself, obviously without succeeding, in the Neko Mulally of the situation, making half a descent without a chain, reaching the finish line on a push uphill. Unfortunately, even the top riders of the team had the race affected by many transmission problems and repeated chain falls, including Marcello Vaglia (Il Pres), Andrea Rodolfi and Marco Colombo.

However, one year after my first ever race in Coggiola, I can only be satisfied for having completed the race, albeit with many wild cards played, leaving behind four of my teammates (Alberto Reali, Giovanni Valgiovio , Davide Segante and Dimitris Lentzas), who will still be gnawing at being beaten by an outburst like me. Yes, because not being able to think of fighting for the overall classification, all that remains is the competition within the team, and teasing them at the end of the race become inevitable, at least until the next one, when they will make up again without problems.

At the end of the race, in a festive atmosphere, it was also nice to be able to chat even with those who are really strong, such as the kind and always available Marco Fumagalli, the young brothers Simone and Luca Invernizzi and Federico Valenzisi (who runs with 2,8 , XNUMX psi at the rear, but how the hell do you do it!?!?) Just as if we were normal people ... go under, maybe we are a bit!

Marco Fumagalli, # 2
Concluded the first race of the 2015 Lombardy Enduro Cup in Petosino BG, a place that left me surprised, very beautiful, valid and complete routes, a real high-level enduro race. (due thanks to the Val Brembana MTB Guides for the shuttle service during the tests). This year is an important season for me, having a lot of help starting from Rose Bike who gave me an Uncle Jimbo 2015 27,5, Spada bike with the supply of the new enduro wheels Tananai enx 27,5 and with the support of my Bike & Co team asd now a family for me.

Immediately at the start of the race I understood the leap in quality that the Lombard enduro cup had made this year, given the quantity of riders, including high level riders. In the race I gave everything, ps 1 I was concentrated to the maximum, there was no room for the slightest mistake, ps 2 longer with a lot of pedaling I managed to manage it well and the last ps 3 I could give something more but overall a lot well. The road of athletic training is the right one, the new Rose Uncle Jimbo size L 27,5 makes itself felt immediately for its qualities, very stable in the fast even bumpy and transmits a lot of safety, excellent cornering control, another quality that amazed me the reactivity in the pedaled sections, here the right coupled with the tananai enx 27,5 wheels make the bike very snappy. Even though it was the first race, I immediately had some great sensations, now it's just a matter of perfecting everything. Race ended with a positive result, 6th place overall and 2nd in category M1.

Hi guys,
I wanted to start by saying that it was my first enduro race on 2 wheels but without an engine because I as I hope many of you know I am an enduro rider.

I can say that the bicycle is a little bit my second love, since I was little I like to train in Mtb on the trails near home and so I did not miss the opportunity to register for this wonderful event of the Lombardy enduro cup plus the race it was organized in my country so I started off… !!!

I really enjoyed the 3 ps they were beautiful techniques with various changes of pace, I certainly cannot compare them to any other race since it was my first but hearing other competitors the tests were really valid, so I want to congratulate the bikers of Petosino who organized a great race.

Then come on to be my first time I finished in 3rd position in the category and 14th overall now I will try to improve at the 2nd round in Brembilla.

Now I think about my Italian championship that this weekend sees me at the start of a hard 2 days in Spoleto (pg). Follow me on my website www.thomasoldrati.com

This in Petosino was my first ever enduro race. Emotion, tension and amazement at 1000!

The welcome of my Bike & Co club helped to dissolve all this. I had had the opportunity to try the ride and it seemed nothing short of wonderful. Absolutely balanced both in terms of difficulty and transfer times, which for an "old man" like me was the thing that gave me the most anxiety. The race confirmed this. Everything was fantastic from the very first minutes, I met and chatted with everyone, we were a happy tribe and I was too happy to be part of it. The Specials were polished in every single stretch. Each particularly technical Trail was marked with the red spray allowing you to anticipate or avoid any danger, the public cheering you on! It was magical! I came home proud of: having closed the race on time!… Of being part of the most beautiful bike club in the world… of being a kid again .. but above all of counting the days for the next race.
