The Italian Cycling Federation will be present at the event with 153 athletes and in over 100 races, for a trip that promises to be demanding from a sporting and logistical point of view. Among the first titles that will be awarded are those Downhill, on August 4, in the Fort Williams area, with the junior categories. The track tournament begins on the morning of 3 August, with the qualifications for the men's team pursuit, in which Italy will race for the Olympic titles and ranking. The goal is to repeat what was achieved last year with 4 titles won. The road tournament starts on August 5th with the junior road races and will end on August 13th with the Women Elite race.

On 6 August, in addition to the elite road race, the marathon titles will also be awarded, the first MTB events in the Tweed Valley area (on 12 August, the XCO races for the elite). Para-cycling is also on stage, as mentioned, with the track tournament simultaneously with cycling, and time trial and road, from 9 to 13 August in Dumfries & Galloway. The para-cycling sector last year brought six world titles as a dowry. The BMX Race, an Olympic discipline, as well as the Freestyle (title awarded on August 12) will be held on 13 and 6 August.
