After leaving the Norco Factory Team, Gwendalyn Gibson joins Trek Factory Racing. She this year she was one of the most interesting athlete she managed win the Short Track stage of Snowshoe in the XCO World Cup and performing very well during the season, despite suffering a serious injury mid-season.
Young athlete, born in 1999, this year she turned 23 and managed to recover promptly from a broken kneecap suffered on May 26th in a local competition. In that race she fell heavily about 48km from the finish and she finished that race, later discovering that she had a fractured kneecap! In the second race after her return, in Vallnord, finished seventh. Then she came Short Track World Cup victory in Snowshoe. Extraordinary!
At just 23, Gwendalyn Gibson joins Jolanda Neff and Evie Richards in the strongest XCO women's team, at least on paper.
