As many know, 2022 marks a historic first and Italy is preparing to be the home of the first Grave by UCI World Championship. Appointment in Veneto on Saturday 8 (female test) and Sunday 9 October (men: 180 km), starting from Vicenza and arriving in Cittadella (Padua).
Here is what the UCI foresees a about participation.
Except for athletes (Elite / Master M / F) directly qualified through the UCI Gravel World Series at the 2022 Gravel World Championship, all those who intend to apply for participation in the 2022 Gravel World Championship via wild card, (80 wild cards M / F are available to the organizing country: 40 men and 40 women), must contact the Off-road Sector at by email to the address [email protected], (specifying: name, surname, card number, category, UCI code and company to which it belongs), no later than 20.09.22, after this date, within the following 24 hours, the names chosen for participation in the event will be communicated.
All athletes must be in good standing with their membership (in possession of the UCI ID code) and in compliance with the health and ethical principles imposed by the UCI, FCI and CONI and will be required to wear, as required by UCI, the jersey as per attachment. .
Production of the jersey, travel / food / accommodation expenses will be borne by the athlete who has been awarded the Wild card, as well as by the athlete qualified through the Gravel World Series.
