The second edition of Gravel Gourmet on May 13-14 in the Parma Valleys is getting closer and closer. Here is the information you need to know.

Program

Saturday

Collecchio (PR) will see departure from Piazza della Repubblica and arrive at Snow Parkti less than a km from the start.

The departures of the two routes will be at 11:00. Along the way you can taste the felino salami accompanied with bread and the local focaccia proposed by Pro Loco of Felino and enjoy Gourmet pizza with the Parma Ham DOP freshly cut, accompanied by wines from the cellar Mount of Vineyards.

The departure of the family path towards the Francigena along the Taro river it will be at 11:30.

Upon arrival at Parco Nevicati there will be typical dishes waiting for you Potato tortelli with the typical fried, the herb cake, Parma Ham and the Parmigiano Reggiano proposed byInsolito Bar social catering of Emc2 Onlus Collecchio.

To accompany the party, the show of Gianpaolo Cantoni , Band of the Duchy, to celebrate the first day of Gravel Gourmet together.

Sunday

Departure and arrival will be at the splendid Farnesian Garden of Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza (PR).

The menu of Sunday has three paths: the Gravel Grinder (96 km) with departure pm 8:00, planet (62 km) with departure scheduled for 9:00, corto (37 km) with departure 9: 30.

Also in this case, good food will not be missing along the way, starting from risotto with Malvasia creamed in Parmigiano Reggiano of the cellar Palazzo wines (accompanied by the company's wines) to switch to the inevitable and delicious Felino salami. The Pro Loco of Traversetolo will propose the fried cake with local cured meats, on the occasion of the famous and historic traditional market held in Traversetolo every Sunday. Parma ham at the foot of the Torrechiara Castle. The number of snacks will depend on the route chosen (more fuel for those who pedal more!😜)

The departure of the family path, which will lead to Carrega woods, it will be at 11:30.

At 14:00 the food stand awaits you at Farnesian Garden of the Rocca di Sala Baganza which will propose the classics herb tortelli , Malvasia of Candia to accompany them and the party with the band will begin One Zero Four and their 80s and 90s repertoire…and here we dance!!!!

Credits

The procedures of accreditation will take place on the day of Saturday in Collecchio, from 8:30 to 10:30 in Piazza della Repubblica (near the Town Hall), or in the afternoon, from 15:00 to 19:00, at Parco Nevicati. For those who will arrive directly on Sunday, however, by 7: 00 8 to: 30 you can accredit yourself at the Farnesian Garden of Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza.

Parking

On Saturdays you can find parking in both center in Collecchio (underground and not for campers or bicycles on the roof) and near the Nevicati Park (cemetery parking).

Navigation

Navigation will be via the Komoot platform available thanks to the collaboration with our partner Komoot. Obviously you can download the files and navigate with your GPS devices.

By registering you will have a code to unlock the map of the region of the route so you can use your smartphone and the Komoot app for navigation.

Last Places

Online entries to Gravel Gourmet are open until 10 May 2023. It will be possible to purchase the weekend package for €105 including the itinerary and two-day snacks, or only the Sunday package for €75 for Sunday only.

For those who want to enjoy the Gravel Gourmet weekend in company, the Companion package at the price of 45€ which will offer the opportunity to enjoy snacks and the entrance ticket to the Food Museums, with shuttle service included (very few places left – you can add this package to your enrollment via ENDUjoin).

Don't forget that you can take advantage of the service we offer free of charge to participants, Gourmet Shopping: make your gastronomic purchases in the snack places along the route and our staff will pick them up, making sure you find them at the end of the route.

Accompanying adults of family rides can be accredited on the spot. The cost including the final gourmet snack is €20 (under 14s are free).

Gourmet license

At the credits you will receive yours Personal Gourmet license which will entitle you to snacks. When you reach a snack stop, present your license for the souvenir stamp and receive the coupon to be handed over to whoever dispenses the dish. It's easy but don't forget it and be careful not to lose it!

The Gourmet License is also stamped for the final event on Saturday and Sunday.

The Gourmet License will also be given to accompanying persons who have purchased the pass.

Snack times

The snack times were calculated on the basis of the routes and calibrated with the departure times. There will be plenty of time to arrive and enjoy the snack breaks. We remind you that it is not a competition, but a cycling tour!

So enjoy the views and think about reaching the coveted snack ... not in a hurry with ease, yes, but be careful not to run out of time!!!

If you leave in the French way (not foreseen and not recommended) or keep a pace that is too fast or slow, you could find the snacks closed. We reiterate that he will be there all the time but obviously we cannot engage those who dispense snacks and the staff for unlimited time. We ask for your understanding and cooperation on this.
