We were ready to enjoy a weekend of gravel and good food with you. Although everything was set, the weather was not kind to us.

We are therefore forced to cancel the 2023 edition of Gravel Gourmet.
It's not just a rain problem - as of today we are in the Yellow Weather Alert zone - that causes concern, but also the type of terrain that locals know well. The sea present in the Parma Valleys (as well as in the entire Po Valley) tens of millions of years ago, has left behind it a fertile and generous land but also a clayey mantle that cannot be pedaled when wet.
Assuming you can change the route and equip yourself with rainproof clothing, the problem of enjoying the Gravel Gourmet format, the snacks along the route, the open-air concerts would still remain. Would Gravel Gourmet be without all of this?
To this we also add a safety issue: under no circumstances do we want to gamble with safety, making you pedal on a route made risky by rain and wet conditions. By forcing things, we would not have offered you a satisfying and even less memorable experience.
We have also excluded the postponement to a later date given the very busy calendar of events and commitments of participants, host municipalities and staff. We made the decision immediately also to meet your overnight needs, preferring to give you as much notice as possible also considering the trend of the weather situation.
Gravel Gourmet will meet directly in May 2024. Registrations valid for this year can also be confirmed for the next edition, or they can be transferred to others at no additional cost. More information on this will be given when we announce the dates of the 2024 edition.
See you in 2024, to ride together again – and with gusto! – in the Parma Valleys!
