The Federciclismo is in the storm due to commissions amounting to € 106.000 towards an Irish company for mediation in the search for sponsors. But, as if this were not enough, another front opens up, namely that of the insults suffered by the vice president Norma Gimondi, which led the lawyer from Bergamo to leave the federal council a few days ago.
Gimondi is considering taking legal action (it wouldn't be difficult since she's a lawyer). A meeting is scheduled for next week with the president of the Italian National Olympic Committee Giovanni Malagò to take stock. Gianni Bugno also comes in to suggest mediation and not take legal action.
THE OFFENSES RECEIVED BY GIMONDI
Ignorant and incorrect: this is how Norma Gimondi would have defined the director Gianantonio Crisafulli in the Federal Council, attacking the vice-president who reiterated her doubts about the matter of the payment of € 106.000 to the Irish company for the mediation of sponsors: "The resolution was "non-existent" and a payment could not be authorized without having seen a contract“, These are the words of Crisafulli.
In the interview with Gazzetta dello Sport on Monday 29 August, Norma Gimondi reported: "On June 18, I abstained from approving the final balance sheet and was verbally attacked by the same councilor with whom I had a quarrel on Saturday". Apparently, there would still have been no solidarity from colleagues at Gimondi's departure following the words of Crisafulli.
