The Cross Country Marathon World Champion will have two custom versions of the XTC Advanced SL 29 and the Anthem Advanced Pro 29 at his disposal.
After the success at the UCI Mountain Bike Marathon in 2019, Leonardo Páez, Colombian born in '89 and member of Team Giant Liv Polimedical, will wear the rainbow jersey also in the 2020-2021 season. And once again Giant, world leader in cycling technologies, will be alongside him and support him in his endeavors thanks to the special editions of two of the brand's most iconic mountain bikes, the XTC Advanced SL 29 and Anthem Advanced Pro 29.
This ultralight hardtail was designed to offer the best possible stiffness-to-weight ratio: not surprisingly, it is Páez's favorite model on cross-country courses where high climbing performance and maximum traction are the secret to success.
The bike frame, made of composite material, is the lightest Giant has ever produced and has been customized to best suit Páez's needs, offering professionals of his caliber a smooth and effective ride. In addition, some of the components of this special edition of the XTC Advanced SL 29 were personally selected by Páez to be part of his equipment: among these the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS electronic transmission, the Braking braking system, the RockShox SID Carbon suspension fork stand out. 100mm, custom Space Carbon wheels and Maxxis tires.
Riding a bike like this, with bright colors and custom graphics #LionPaez, the Colombian champion will certainly not go unnoticed.
ANTHEM ADVANCED PRO 29

The Anthem Advanced Pro 29, full-suspension ideal for routes with particularly technical and fast descents, is the model with which Páez became World Champion.
Also in this case, the Colombian rider has made some changes to the bike's set-up, to better adapt them to his riding style. For example, he chose a 100mm RockShox SID Carbon fork, the Braking brake system and a lightweight Space Carbon wheelset with Maxxis tires. Not only that: the bike is equipped with the SRAM XX1 AXS wireless electronic transmission system, a Selle Italia SLR saddle, SRM carbon cranks with power meter and Leonardi Factory handlebar.
The Maestro rear suspension offers an impressive 90mm of travel to the rear wheel: combined with the shock absorber with Trunnion attachment, this feature makes the Anthem a bike with very low leverage ratio, which translates into great grip on climbs and incredible mastery of braking, even on the most uneven terrain. The frame of the Anthem Advanced has been designed with advanced composite material, 29-inch wheels that guarantee excellent stability and an aggressive XC geometry, to better tackle the climbs and to accelerate quickly.
It will certainly be worth watching closely Páez also in the 2020-2021 season, as he will once again aim to conquer the stages of the XC circuit around the world.
