In Torpado we care about the sporting and racing aspect of the bike world and we have always preferred to focus on young athletes with great potential, and it also happened when we chose to start collaborating with Gerry in 2017.
Gerhard Kerschbaumer is an athlete that we strongly wanted and we are happy with the results achieved together over the years.
For a further development of his sporting career, today he has chosen to sign an agreement for the next few years with a brand known worldwide, and - albeit sorry - we are happy (and proud) of the path made together.
We are always in excellent relations and with exchanges of mutual esteem so we wish Gerry all the best and we greet each other with the hope of being able to work together again in the future.
But if you want to look to 2021, Torpado Ursus' path will be enriched with 3 new athletes: 2 are very promising young people who will compete in the U23 category:
Oliver Vedersø Sølvhøj Danish athlete who is Junior European Champion in 2020 and who finished 5th at the Junior World Championships 2020
Mario Bair Austrian athlete who is Austrian U23 champion 2020 and finished 6th in the Junior World Championship in 2019. The 3rd athlete who will join the team will compete in the Elite category:
Marcel Guerrini, a Swiss athlete who, after a period of injury, will put all his effort into aiming for the top places in the standings. He was U23 champion in 2016, 3rd in the U23 World Cup in 2016 and in the following years he was placed among the TOP 20 of the Elite category.
A great 2021 season awaits us!
