Tense and pounding like a Jaco Pastorius bass line. Brilliant and fascinating like a Prince song. Funky Day is back and will be even more sexy, "dirty" and attractive.
The appointment is already set for next spring on the Island of Elba, from 20 to 28 April. As part of our Festival we will organize a whole series of initiatives and events for hikers to ride with you readers on this magnificent island. In short, we laugh, drink and scrape together with the editorial staff of 365 and our special guests, such as Marco Aurelio Fontana and Nicola Casadei.
Just over a month is missing from the craziest appointment of the Italian mountain bike.
Funky Day is almost upon us. But are you ready? Have you booked? Then don't say we didn't warn you.
The opportunity to have fun together and go and discover the beauty of the Island of Elba on the saddle is the long "bridge" that includes Easter and 25 April.
The Funky Day on the Island of Elba, in fact, is a long period full of initiatives related to Mtb. Therefore, you can choose to join a program of a few days up to a full week, with a stay in the splendid setting of Tenuta delle Ripalte in Capoliveri.
We will organize and make excursions in All Mountain, Enduro and e-bike style on the most beautiful routes on the island of Elba, led by Marco Aurelio Fontana, the editorial staff of 365 and the guides of the Elba Bike Center. Then there will be driving courses with our Davide Finetto and Enduro Champion Nicola Casadei and we will participate together in competitive events, such as the Lacona e-Enduro Circuit test, scheduled for April 27 and 28, and our funky Enduro funky. delle Miniere, And then there will be our unmissable Funky Party, tests of companies' products and much more.
For those few who did not know, Funky Day is a festival that marked an era and a way of understanding mountain biking in Italy and which, coincidentally, is still perfectly in our strings. In our somewhat irreverent and irreverent, but certainly amusing and amused way of understanding this sport, and more.
Also for this new edition, therefore, we will be inspired in many respects by the original one, which was staged from 1998 to 2011 and the subsequent editions of Montecreto, organized and experienced personally by the entire editorial staff. Real Mtb Festivals enriched with numerous collateral activities, such as stands, workshops and shows, which also transformed it into a real village festival.
Under the hat of the Funky Day, the program, from 20 to 28 April, will therefore be very rich with special gems, such as the first Social Ride of the year organized by Marco Aurelio Fontana in collaboration with Red Bull, the first stage of the new e- school of Casadei & Finetto, our Funky Enduro and the test of the e-Enduro circuit scheduled in Lacona.
And, of course, the inevitable Funky Party and Funky snacks on the beach.
In short, if you have not already done so, tell friends, boyfriends, sisters, lovers, aunt, grandfather and even the canary. Nobody should be missing, we are waiting for you: guitars, basses, amplifiers, beer and anything else you will find them already there, but don't forget the bike in any case we will also have many to let you try.
E-school with Casadei and Finetto
The new e-bike school, organized and managed by Nicola Casadei and Davide Finetto, makes its debut on the occasion of Funky Day.
Three e-mtb Stages with Nicola Casadei with a particular format: one day of Course and one day of Adventure in e-MTB!
The best way to improve technically and learn about fantastic spots around Italy.
An idea born from Raffaele Parisi who involved Davide and Nicola in this project. The locations are amazing, in fact the 2019 calendar includes 3 e-MTB courses: the 1st on the Island of Elba on 20/21/22 April while the 2nd on the Island of Giglio on 31/1/2 June! The 3rd location is still secret.
The masters as well and you know them well too. Nicola Casadei won, in 2019 alone, the SuperEnduro Italian Series and Continental Enduro Series titles, the European circuit. Davide Finetto is our top tester, as well as an excellent Enduro agonist, Master of the FCI and Master and guide of the Coste dei Gabbiani Bike Center.
