Excellent 4th place overall with a gap of 2,9 sec. from the top step, for Davide Palazzari the strongest SCOTT rider in the Downhill Italian.
This year Davide rides with the colors of Team Le Marmotte Loreto (BG), and the experiences in recent months around the bike parks of Finalese (SV) and Brandnertal in Austria are the result of this unexpected and important result in the 2nd stage of the Gravitalia National Circuit Downhill in Frabosa Soprana (CN) on Sunday 31/05/2015.
The race took place on the Fabrosa track with an altitude difference of 800 m., With a long sequence of very fast sections, banks and jumps with very deep holes that physically involve both the driver and the vehicle, so much so that in several sections they touched speeds close to the 80 km / h.
Already from Saturday in the qualifying it was evident that something special was about to happen, and starting with the number 38, Davide prints the best time in 4,24,06 which earned him the "HOT HITS" until the arrival of the last strongest riders. Nationals and only 4 manage to overcome it; Pietro Caire does best of all with 4,16.36.
On Sunday Davide shows up at the gate with the strongest riders and does not betray his expectations, going down without risking to bring home the best placement ever and so at the finish line he manages to take away almost 6 seconds, stopping the time trial in 4,18.19 which in the end he earned 4th place overall and very close to the podium.
Now for the strong Sardinian driver, the #2 iXS European is scheduled Downhill Cup 19 – 21 Jun 2015 in Schladming (AUT), as well as the subsequent trials of Gravitalia and the Italian Championship in Sestola (MO) in mid-July.
