The Prorider launches the challenge: between gravel, cycle cross and mtb on November 19th there is a “tribola” with style. We at 365 have accepted it!
Marco Fontana has created the "Fingers Cross" to have fun and entertain, right on the beautiful hills of his home, in the Piacenza area. A gravel and cross bike race starting from Vernasca (Piacenza), on a single 16 km lap with a total elevation gain of about 550 meters, “stylish and challenging” according to Marco, who created the format.
A "tough" route that includes challenging sections especially in the case of mud. But also parts of asphalt, gravel, earth, lawn, stones and even stairways, in order to make the circuit varied and fun. The race is classified as a regional “Gravel point to point”, therefore aimed only at adults with Cyclocross and Gravel bikes. It is open to any bike with off-road tires. Ergo, participation is also possible for those who have a mountain bike.
I love autumn and winter for the colors, but above all for the atmosphere it creates. Off-roading is my passion and I find gravel and CX bikes to be stylish and capable of even challenging routes, so I thrilled to set up something that is challenging but feasible, cool for both the PRO and the enthusiast. . You see 16km and you think “easy” but then on arrival you say “okay, it was so cool but I'm okay.
At the Fingers Cross it is troubled with style!

The race will take place in Vernasca, in the province of Piacenza, on the ancient Pieve, and will partly cover the coasts that go towards Castell'Arquato, where the champion lives, and then return to the road that from Vigoleno climbs towards Cergallina. The departure, set at 11 am, will be made with all the participants together, men and women. Participation is open to all people aged at least 18 with a medical certificate or FCI card.
In addition to the awarding of the absolute classification "Men and Women" there are also special prizes for the most "stylish" in interpreting the race, voted by a special jury. The first riders will arrive approximately 1 hour after the start, around 12 noon. The organizers, who have worked alongside Fontana, are the guys from the “Lugagnano Off Road” team. The race pack also contains a restaurant ticket for refreshment after the performance.
I thought, designed and created it… now you just have to run it! Write down the date because if you want an event different from the usual, stylish and with the right atmosphere, this is the race for you.
