In the male category, in the Junior category, 9th place for Elian Paccagnella and 13th for Gabriel Borre.

But let's start with the summary from the Elite test where Giorgia Marchet tried to keep up with her opponents by keeping pace for a long time. “It was my tactic - says the 23 year old Feltre graduate in Motor Science at the University of Verona - since I'm not explosive I tried to weaken the opponents with the rhythm. A tactic that went well, except with Blochingher, who showed all her power in the final. Let's take the positive side of this day, that is, we broke the ice and put a first box in the medal table. This is my first medal with this prestigious jersey that I am honored to wear ”.

The dedication: "To my family, to the coach and to those who support me. Now we just have to focus on tomorrow's team competition".

Among the Open men no Italians at the start with the victory of the British Aldridge Charlie.

The blue Lucrezia Braida, 18 years old (2004) from Stregna in the province of Udine, commented on her performance where she reached the foot of the podium: “A very tough race in which I was unable to get off to a good start right away. Afterwards, I followed the instructions of the technician, Andrea Tiberi, going back to the comeback. As much as possible, in such an intense trial, I also tried to preserve the energies. We were a group of 4, but then I didn't keep up with the pace. I am happy with my 4th place, I never wanted to give up even when my foot slipped off the pedal. I'm not one to give up until the finish line arrives. For me the next race will be the XCO on Saturday ”.

THE TECHNICIAN'S COMMENT: At the end of the day it is up to Mirko Celestino to draw up a balance sheet. “We rode well, with great concentration and commitment. Many guys are new and have had the opportunity to test themselves internationally. Today went well, we were close to getting another medal, the one with Lucrezia Braida. Marchet, on the other hand, was very good and far too generous. Tomorrow it's up to the Relay where we have achieved good results in the past ”. It should be noted that Letizia Marzani, who fell yesterday, ran with a conspicuous patch on her chin. She had 4 stitches applied to her.

RELAY RACE: The technicians also revealed the names of the athletes who will take part in tomorrow's Relay: Marco Betteo (Junior Men), Fabio Bassignana (Junior Men), Giorgia Marchet (Women Elite), Valentina Corvi (Women Junior), Giada Specia (Women Under 23), Simone Avondetto (Men Under 23).

In competition, with the uniform of world champions, Gaia Tormena in the XCE too.

famac@famac.ind.br I am passionate about everything that has 2 wheels: in my youth I practiced competitive cycling on the road and on the track with good results. At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
