Quality always pays off in the end and so the second edition of the event, which will be held on 18 June again starting from Linguaglossa, becomes part of the FCI Sicily Cup, the "Mediterranean MTB Challenge" and the "Open Speed" Championship.
The news does not only concern the inclusion of the test organized by ASD Etna Spirit within the main Sicilian calendars, as explained by Vincenzo Cassaniti, president of ASD and creator of the event. “For 2023 the Etna Nord Bike Race raises the bar and, for the 2nd edition, will present 2 routes, the "Classic" route and the "Marathon" route. The first will also be open to E-Bikes (non-competitive rides) and will have a mileage and a difference in altitude suitable for all types of bikers, trained and less trained. The "Marathon" route, on the other hand, more demanding than the first, will have a longer mileage but a not exasperated difference in height so as to allow everyone to be able to complete the test and enjoy the unique paths that the Volcano reserves for us.
The first edition was won in the sprint by Vincenzo Saitta, who last season wore the colors of Cicli Taddei, in the sprint over Giuseppe Di Salvo, while among the women Lucana Mara Parisi won the Trofeo dei Parchi. Registration will open on March 1, 2023, on the MTBonLine.it portal
