The blue medal table of Les Gets grows: after the silver in the debut test of the Team Relay, a splendid bronze arrives in the Downhill with junior Davide Cappello. The performance of the blue rider was beautiful, closing the race in third place with a time of 3:36.021, winning the lowest step of the podium and a historic medal, 7"697 behind the new world champion, the British Jordan Williams ( at the finish line in 3:28.324).

Favorites Izabela Yankova (Juniors women) and Jackson Goldstone (Juniors boys) fell in their runs: Goldstone let the world title slip away after dominating the season.
A result that Italy had been missing for 28 years: the last blue world podium in DH was in fact in 1994, when Corrado Hérin won the Elite bronze at the World Championships in Vail. Silver for the Australian Remy Meier-Smith, at the finish with a delay of 5 ″ 916 from the British.

“Am I happy? I think you understand ... " the words of a more than satisfied CT Fabbri. Which adds: “The race went perfectly. I do not deny that we expected such a result: we know our means, our athletes and their abilities. It wasn't a very difficult track but it wasn't easy to go fast, there was nothing to be taken for granted. I counted on it, I believed it… Great David! ”.
