Last weekend, the valley of the painters hosted the Swiss MTB national team for a preparatory stage in view of the upcoming competitions.
About 20 athletes competed on the Vigezzo trails, putting them to the test
their prowess on atmospheric and challenging terrain.
For the locality of Ossola it is a period of great importance; in fact, after having
recently hosted the regional ski championships of the very young categories, the arrival of
Swiss national MTB underlines the sporting vocation of the area, which it offers to
guests a wide range of outdoor activities, in a natural setting
great beauty.
The choice of location came directly from the red cross coaches, who found the correct technicality in the trails prepared by the local trail builders.
These are the words of Carina Cappellari, Swiss head of the women's sector: "We found excellent environmental conditions', explains their coach, 'with a fantastic course both to test the materials and the athletic condition of the boys. A very varied track, which can be tricky when doing timed sessions.
This stage officially opens the season dedicated to MTB della Piana di
Vigezzo. For bikers it will be possible to take advantage of the opening of the cable car during all the
spring weekends to compete with the trails chosen by Swiss pro riders. But even those who want to have a less adrenaline-pumping experience can immerse themselves in nature, being able to enjoy the different possibilities offered by the grippy trails that lead to the summit, where the La Tana restaurant will be waiting for you, to replenish your energy.
