On the eve of the European MTB Championships, Mathias Fluckiger will not start due to a positivity during an anti-doping test carried out on June 5th at the Swiss Championships in cross-country in Leysin (won).
Mathias Flückiger, silver at Tokyo Olympics, was found positive for a prohibited anabolic substance (zeranol) and was provisionally discontinued. In the next few days there will certainly be a press release from the Swiss athlete and the extent of the disqualification will be understood. Surely it will not be at the start of the Europeans and the World Cup.
