DJI, a world leader in civilian drone manufacturing and creative imaging technology, today introduces DJI Avata 2. The drone offers a fully immersive and safe FPV flight experience, an updated sensor to improve image quality and greater flight autonomy .

“Less than two years ago, we helped popularize the near-out-of-body experience of FPV flight,” said Ferdinand Wolf, Creative Director at DJI. “DJI Avata 2 builds on this experience and gives everyone the ability to fly like a pro with simplified stunts. We are ready to offer users one of the best FPV experiences ever."
DJI Avata 2 was designed to pair with the new DJI Goggles 3 and DJI RC Motion 3.

DJI Goggles 3 features adjustable diopters, two micro OLED screens that support 10-bit display, with a refresh rate of up to 100 Hz, and low latency transmission. Thanks to binocular cameras that show the surrounding environment and can be overlaid on the drone's live feed, pilots have complete awareness of every situation without having to remove the headset. This technology, Real View in PiP (Picture-In-Picture), improves the immersive experience and safety.
ACRO1 simplified with DJI RC Motion 3
When combined with DJI RC Motion 3, new pilots can perform difficult aerial stunts with ease. With a simple movement of the joystick it is possible to take spectacular shots while flying, diving or rolling.
• One-Motion 360: Add new twists to your footage with 360-degree forward and backward flips
• One-Motion Roll: Create stunning shots with a 360-degree left and right roll.
• 180° One-Motion Drift: Create high-impact visual effects with high-speed 180° lateral drifts.

Optimized image quality
Thanks to the larger image sensor compared to the previous one, the 12 MP super wide-angle camera with 1/1,3” CMOS expands the dynamic range and effectively handles low-light scenarios. The ultra-wide-angle lens, with a viewing angle of up to 155°, offers a unique perspective and close-up shots, distinguishing it from those of traditional drones. The camera enables immersive aerial HDR shots and videos1 at up to 4K/60fps, as well as slow motion footage at 2.7K/120fps. Furthermore, thanks to the 10-bit D-Log M color mode, DJI Avata 2 can capture rich highlights and shadows, highlight them in post-production and simplify color grading.

Stability assured
Even during high-pressure aerial maneuvers, DJI Avata 2 keeps videos sharp and stable thanks to the algorithm and two leading stabilization technologies. DJI RockSteady reduces camera shake even in high-speed flights or in strong winds, while DJI HorizonSteady locks footage onto a level horizon even during sharp turns or strong oscillations. Additionally, when the EIS setting is off, Avata 2 supports Gyroflow to further stabilize footage in post-production.
Total security
Avata 2's new integrated parapropeller is lighter and allows for agile flight even in confined spaces1.
Thanks to the lock button on RC Motion 3 it is possible to immediately stop the drone and manage any unexpected events with complete peace of mind. Additionally, the Return to Home (RTH) function is automatically started when the drone's battery is low or in case of signal loss, adding an extra layer of safety.1.

The new binocular fisheye sensors allow you to fly at low altitude or indoors, improving flight stability and safety.
If the drone lands upside down, you can quickly right it thanks to the Turtle mode. If activated, this function automatically turns it over and returns it to the take-off position.
Longer flights for a limitless sky
The Avata 2 boasts a maximum flight time of 23 minutes1 and supports PD Quick Charge to quickly charge it up and get it off the ground. Additionally, the new Two-Way Charging Station1 features an energy storage function that allows for of the remaining energy from multiple batteries to the one with the highest charge level1. In this way, it guarantees an “extra battery” in critical moments.
The new O4 video transmission offers a maximum distance of 13 km1, a latency of just 24 ms1, high definition image quality of 1080p/100fps and a maximum bit-rate of 60 Mbps1. The two-transmitter, four-receiver, four-antenna design ensures high anti-interference performance and allows pilots to fully concentrate on flying without additional worries.

Shared flights
Sharing FPV flights has become easier than ever. The DJI Goggles 3 live feed can be viewed on the DJI Fly app1 and streamed to another device up to 5 meters away1. Additionally, you can use a cable to share it to a display or another Goggles 3 headset via “Audience” mode.
Filming and editing made easy
Avata 2 is equipped with 46 GB of internal memory, capable of storing approximately 90 minutes of video at 1080p/60fps, allowing you to capture the best parts of every flight. Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity you can quickly transfer files to your smartphone and make post-editing and sharing your work extremely efficient.
Edit with one touch
When DJI Avata 2 is connected to the LightCut app via Wi-Fi, footage can be edited directly without having to be downloaded to the app. Without the need to download the footage, the app also offers the possibility of editing and, combined with the One Touch Edit function, allows you to produce refined content in an instant and without any effort.

Try before you buy
With the DJI Store app, anyone can experience Avata 2 virtually in the Virtual Flight section.
Greater compatibility
The new DJI Goggles 3 and RC Motion 3 are also available for the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro. Pilots with the Goggles 3 headset can also use traditional controllers, such as the RC 2 and RC-N2, to fly the drone.
