David Valero and Lucia Gomez Spanish Short Track champions

All this took place in the context of Sea Otter Europe. Jofre Cullell and David Campos completed the men's podium while, in the women's, 2nd place for Rocío García and 3rd for Estíbaliz Sagardoy.

On the podium with gold medals during a mountain bike competition, two happy and smiling athletes are wearing the Spanish team's jerseys.

The Catalan city of Girona today crowned the first Spanish champions of BTT Short Track (XCC) as part of the Sea Otter Europe Costa Brava festival. David Valero among men and Lucía Gómez among women.

Among women, Rocío García believed he had an easy life but U23 Lucía Gómez held the wheel and eventually beaten in the sprint. The podium was completed by Estíbaliz Sagardoy. Immediately after the men's race was started in which David Valero, runner-up in the XCO world, imposed his "law" ahead of Jofre Cullell, second, and David Campos, third.
