The Jumbo Visma champion, Wout Van Aert, won the cyclo-cross World Cup event just held in Ireland in Dublin (READ THE REPORT). However, Van Aert was the author of 2 unfortunate episodes. The 1st was a very dangerous skid on a curve made slippery by ice. This episode led him to lose precious seconds and chase after the leading group.

Race under the sun in Dublin, Ireland, but still heavy ground conditions due to the frozen ground which then gradually turned into mud during the day. Too bad for the lack of Mathieu Van Der Poel, in Spain to train for the road season, although he has made it clear that he would have preferred to take part in the cyclo-cross season in a complete way.

But the most problematic event occurred just 3 laps from the end, where he lost around 30 seconds due to a rag inadvertently left on a fence, in the pit area, by a mechanic. A lot of bad luck but Wout's leg then resolved everyone, going to recover the leading group and launching the decisive attack (Read the full race report).

At the age of 18 I moved to cross country competing at national/international level as U23. Once I passed Elite, I made the choice to take things easier from the training point of view, and that's how my love for gravity disciplines was born, training as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made my passion my profession by managing 3 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way, everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube 'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
