In Val di Sole, the desire for great cycling never fails, at any time of the year. On Saturday 17 December, Vermiglio and the Trentino valley will once again host the Italian stage of the cyclo-cross World Cup in the unique location of the San Leonardo lakes.

Just Val di Sole hosted, last year, the awaited return of the World Cup to Italy, and the show on the snow – the only event in the world thought to be played on a white background – sparked the hope of one day seeing cyclo-cross at the Winter Olympic Games, writing at the same time a page in the history of the discipline.
The organizing committee of Grandi Eventi Val di Sole, together with APT Val di Sole with the coordination of Flanders Classics and the support of the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium, has opened online ticket pre-sales on the valdisolebikeland.com website.
Tickets for Saturday 17 December are on sale at the price of €15, with free admission for under 12s upon registration on the ticketing platform.
Last year the Belgian Wout Van Aert and the Dutch Fem Van Empel won the World Cup stage in Vermilion, the latter at the end of a battle with no holds barred with the Dutch champion Marianne Vos.
The program for this year includes free practice on Friday 16 December and races on Saturday. The Women Elite race will start at 13.00, followed by the Men Elite race at 14.30.
This year in Vermiglio there will also be space for side events that will accompany spectators and visitors, enriching the magical winter atmosphere of the Val di Sole with music and entertainment.
