A revitalized Isabeau Courdurier (Lapierre Zipp Collective) extended his lead in the Enduro World Series 2022, as did Canadian Jesse Melamed (Rocky Mountain Race Face), who won ahead of newfound Martin Maes and Matthew Walker. American Richie Rude (Yeti / Fox Factory Team) and Jack Moir of Canyon Collective have struggled with accidents and breakups.
Isabeau Courdurier won ahead of the British Rebecca Baraona of the Yeti / Fox Factory Team and Ella Conolly (Cannondale Enduro). Beautiful 4th place by Gloria Scarsi (Canyon Collective).
In the EWS men's race it looked like last week's EWS Burke winner Richie Rude could return to victory at home until he fell hard hitting his shoulder. Jack Moir also took off from the game due to a puncture, and related breakage of the rear wheel, which forced him to replace it and take a 3-minute penalty.
SOPHIA RIVA WINS AMONG THE U21
In the women's Under 21, there was a dominant performance by the Italian Sophie Riva (Ancillotti Factory) who achieved the second success in a row by winning all six stages with a 39-second advantage over Chilean Paz Gallo Fuentes. Third was the American Lauren Bingham.
The Italian Mirko Vendemmia is growing (42 °) but not yet at satisfactory results.
