The official start to the 2024 season will be given on May 18th, when the Kronplatz 2000 lift opens, which will give access to the paths on the north side of Plan de Corones, weather conditions permitting.
Bikers will thus be able to start discovering and enjoying some of this year's new features. The historic and famous Herrensteig trail, one of the longest and most challenging in the entire Alpine arc, will in fact present new variations together with an important reshape work. The first part will be transformed into an adrenaline-pumping jump line of approximately 600-800 m, until reaching the first curves heading west.
Scheduled openings and reshape works
But it doesn't end here, because the sequential openings of the Ruis, Piz de Plaies, Olang 1+2, and Ried/Gipfelbahn lifts, respectively from 30 May, 21 and 22 June, and 7 July, will allow gradual access to the entire trail network of Bike Park Plan de Corones.
The Gassl + Dragon Trail sequence will also feature a major reshape, along with a useful ascent carpet to the Gassl valley station, to easily access a series of different drops.
Don't miss a special day dedicated to the collective cleaning and maintenance of the trails: Trail Care Day will be a moment of sharing and fun, closed perfectly with the final BBQ. Stay tuned to the website and social profiles of the Bike Park Plan de Corones for the detailed program!
