Sram announces the arrival of a group dedicated exclusively to DH namely the X01 DH. The X01DH will be available from April 2014 and is developed in 2 versions, 7 and 10 speeds, of course always in a single front configuration.
The front chainring will be produced from 30 to 38 with X-Sync technology. Very particular is the XG-795 Mini Block 7-speed sprocket cassette (compatible with the XD Driver Body) with a scale ranging from 10 to 24 in two-tooth steps. You can choose between Trigger or Twister command (the latter only available for 10 speed). The rear derailleur features X-Horizon technology with a Roller Bearing Clutch system derived directly from the Sram XX1. The sprocket box offers, in addition to the traditional 11-23, 11-25 and 11-26, also the 12-36.
The crank arm is very light but in SRAM they declare resistant: a metal core with a carbon structural reinforcement stops the scale at 800 grams. The bottom bracket is BB30 or Bsa compatible.
Here are the prices and more below the explanatory videos of the group.
