The first stage of the Enduro World Series, held in Rotorua, goes to Jerome Clementz which beats Fabien Barel and Wyn Masters. Alex Lupato he completed a good performance by finishing in 26th place, we hope this is the beginning of his stable presence among the top 30/20. His tenacity in improving himself is slowly bringing him closer to the big names in the discipline, come on ALEX!
Another Italian at via Manuel Ducci who is at 66th, very sore in his hand: "The fracture in my hand reported two weeks ago affected both training and competition, until a few days ago I couldn't even put my hand on the handlebars. Fortunately, things improved in the days leading up to the race, thus having the opportunity to participate. I would have liked to do more because the weather conditions combined with the technicality of the trails gave me a good feeling, but unfortunately in this condition the only goal was to try to reach the finish line without taking further blows in the hand that would have caused me to retire."
Victory of the Martian among women Anne Caroline Chausson in front of Tracey Moseley and Cecile Ravanel. The only Italian route Valentina Macheda, which comes in 19th place: "In this month, in New Zealand I learned a lot, we traveled a lot and discovered various types of trails, two weeks before the EWS, we participated in the NZ Enduro without trying the routes, and it was a great workout. The EWS week was really tough with three days of testing and one day of racing with 7 special stages, with a total of about 65km, and almost 2.000 of altitude difference. I feel satisfied despite having made many mistakes and having some crashes, getting a 19th place in a level never reached in EWS definitely stimulates me to do well and try to improve myself. This race helped me understand how I have to work in my next training sessions."
Note how many do not wear the integral. One of the weaknesses of the Enduro World Series is precisely that of not being able to impose itself with a clear regulation as a single race format (remember last year stages with mechanized ascents and pedaled races) to which now also the unknown helmet is added. integral, which here in Rotorua has not become mandatory (and we do not agree with this choice).
Space for photos and a video of a particularly hostile stretch in counter-slope with roots.
