Miguel Martinez returns to road pro at 46

Twelve years after retiring from the group, Miguel Martinez decided to resume his professional career at 44.

A good bet for the Olympic mountain bike champion in 2000, who will race with the colors of the Continental Atria-VS Gerzatois team together with his brother Yannick. He will have an Elite card or, in bureaucratic terms, Elite without a contract.

At 46, Miguel Martinez will still be in the group. After having raced between 2002 and 2003 in the top category (Mapei and Phonak), Martinez returned to the group in 2008 with the Amore & Vita jersey, a team that had given him back the opportunity to race in 2020, a year marred by the pandemic.
