Cape Epic: Fumic and Avancini grant an encore!

Stage 2 of the Cape Epic: the Cannondale team gives an encore a bit surprising since the marathon is not exactly the discipline of Fumic and Avancini.

After the Prologue raced yesterday, today the Cape Epic got underway with the first real stage. Yesterday Fumic and Avancini won in a course suited to them: in the prologue of a few kilometers where explosive strength was important. But today the program included a stage of 101km with 2300m of elevation gain and Manuel Fumic and the Brazilian Henrique Avancini of Cannondale Factory Racing surprised by winning after about 4h30 'of stage.

Also very good Leonardo Paez who together with the South African champion Knox finished the stage in eighth position at 5 ′ 35 ”, who run for the Italian Polimedical Team.

Fourteenth with 13 'and 07 ”late, Porro and Medvedev who finished third yesterday. Now I'm ninth overall. Damiano Ferraro together with Rabensteiner finish in 21st place.
