On the occasion of the presentation of the UCI World Cup team and the EWS team, Canyon officially announces the partnership with Troy Lee Designs. Canyon CLLCTV is the new team that includes the superstars of downhill and enduro and very young promising riders.
PRIMEGGI IN THE WORLD CUP DH
To lead the group for the downhill there will be Troy Brosnan, back from a season that gave him many podiums, including a silver medal at the World Championships and a gold at the Canadian Open. Alongside him Mark Wallace, eighth overall in the standings, will race for the fourth year with the colors of Canyon. He also confirms for Kye A'Hern, holder of the Junior World Champion rainbow jersey won at Mont Sainte Anne last season. With renewed confidence, Kye makes the leap into the Elite category for 2020.
Jakob Jewett enters the junior category this year. The 2019-year-old has already shown tremendous potential in XNUMX with a string of notable successes, including a smashing final at Crankworx Whistler and a Canadian National Championship title.
“We have put together one of the most complete teams in the World Cup,” says Fabien Barel, mentor of the team. "There are excellent conditions for a successful season and in a few weeks we will already be able to prove our worth on the pitch."
FIGHTING FOR THE EWS TITLE
Canyon's Enduro program is carried on by the two members of the team that triumphed in the overall standings last year. Dimitri Tordo is looking for an absolute better positioning and the first victory in the EWS. Likewise, Ines Thoma will pick up where she left off in 2019 - a season in which she scored five podiums.
Canyon also welcomes Jack Moir to the family, a rider much loved by fans around the world. Jack will be racing the EWS season and will also participate in a selection of events downhill.
