CANYON updates the Exceed with new colors and models

The 2023 Exceed range is updated: the Front a Cross Country by Canyon gets a makeover.

The '23 Exceed range builds on the existing Exceed frame, a proven performer at the pinnacle of XC racing in the hands of generational talent such as Mathieu van der Poel, Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado and Andreas Seewald to name but three.

For 2023, Canyon is trimming and simplifying its Exceed CF SLX offering, with one CF SLX model available. The Exceed CF SLX uses the same 1015g frame (size M) we tested last year.

Two elegant colorways are available: the classic Canyon-style Race Black, as well as a Team Alpecin-Deceuninck design inspired by the blue and black pro team. The CF SLX comes equipped with a FOX 32 SC Factory fork with remote lockout, Canyon carbon cockpit, wireless SRAM GX Eagle AXS shifting and a superlight DT Swiss XRC1501 carbon wheelset.

Exceed CF: A more affordable entry-level build

Available at an incredible price of just €1.599, the CF 4 is a new addition to the Exceed CF range for 2023, delivering the performance of the Exceed brand at a lesser price point.

Kerstin Kaufmann, Canyon MTB Brand Manager, explains: “With its incredible speed, light weight and stiffness, the Exceed is a bike designed for one thing and one thing only: winning races. But this is by no means a bike reserved for elite riders. With the Exceed CF 4, we're doubling down on our efforts here at Canyon to democratize performance. At €1.599 and with the same frame geometry as the Exceed CFR world championship-winning flagship, we're convinced this is, without a doubt, the best value you'll find in a carbon XC bike today".

The Exceed CF 4 is built around a lightweight 1312g carbon frame (size M) and features good components: RockShox Recon Silver RL 32 fork, one-by SRAM SX shifter, Shimano MT200 hydraulic brakes and high-grip Rocket Ron tires by Schwalbe.

The 2023 Canyon Exceed range will be available from Thursday, March 23, 2023, exclusively on canyon. com. Prices start at €1.599 for the Exceed CF 4, with the Exceed CF SLX coming in at €4.499.

davide.finetto@365mountainbike.it I am a fan of everything that has 2 wheels: at a young age I practiced road and track cycling (Italian Allievi champion). At the age of 18 I passed into the cross country competing at national/international level as an Under23. Past Elite, I made the choice to take things more lightly from a training point of view, and my love for gravity disciplines was born, training me as an FCI MTB instructor and guide. Now I have made passion my profession by managing 2 MTB centers on the island of Elba (Bike Center Elba and Elba MTB), creating the FANTAmtb and telling in an ironic but professional way everything that revolves around MTB thanks to 365mountainbike and 365TV (YouTube'PULITI dentro BIKER fuori').
